Community Consultative Committee
Would you like to be a representative on the Parklea Correctional Centre Community Consultative Committee? We are looking for local residents, business owners, and individuals involved in services relevant to prisoners to be part of discussions about the Centre’s contribution to community life.
The committee brings council, government, social service and community representatives together to discuss matters of mutual interest. Meetings are held once per quarter at the Centre.
To be eligible to serve as a community representative, you will need to live in a community that is close to the Centre, or own a business near the Centre.
To be eligible to serve as a stakeholder representative, you will need to be affiliated with one of the identified stakeholder groups, such as a group providing legal aid, prison health care, prisoner advocacy, support for incarcerated or formerly incarcerated people and their families, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander support.
To apply, write to us and tell us why you want to join the committee. Nominations must be received by 30 July and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
